Committed to the Church

One of the comments made during my nomination was my commitment to the Church. This a true statement. I am committed to the Church both as invisible and visible. The invisible Church is composed of all true believers, the elect, of every generation and from every culture. This invisible Church by God's purposing has a visible testimony in the world. As Westminster Confession of Faith Chapter 25 teaches, this visible Church is made up of professing believers and their children. It is at times more pure, sometimes less pure, but it is the visible testimony of Christ in the world.

The PCA is one expression or branch of the visible Church, and the General Assembly is the highest court of the PCA. I am committed to serving the Church and at this time primarily through the PCA. As moderator of the 34th PCA General Assembly, I am able to demonstrate this service and look forward to doing that.

It is an amazing privilege to serve the PCA as moderator.
